Economy PLA is a UK PLA filament for 3D printing, made with up to 99.99% recycled material.
To avoid being landfilled, PLA waste has been sourced from a EU supplier before being compounded and extruded in the North of England, and spooled onto 100% recyclable cardboard reels.
Post-industrial (pre-consumer) waste is material diverted from the waste stream during a manufacturing process. It is single-source waste - free of debris - which mitigates the risk of contamination. Utilising post-industrial recycled material also ensures optimal 3D printing performance, in line with ‘virgin’ material.
Patented technology has been applied to ensure easy printing - with minimal warping. Economy PLA is ideal for general prototyping and non-industrial applications that do not require impact resistance and / or load bearing.
Standard PLA settings are advised, though experimenting with your own parameters is recommended due to the many variables involved in 3D printing hardware / software.
To optimise 3D print quality, we strongly recommend the use of a dust filter when 3D printing with Economy PLA. This is a link to some options available for free download via Printables.com.

A great option for volume printing. Several kilos printed without issue. Consistent and worked with normal settings. Filamentive recommend using a dust filter – sensible advice to follow given the low density cardboard spool, but I’ve seen no buildup of dust on my filters so far.

Although this is a cheap by price filament, it performs great. Used several differnt PLA settings and its been fine with fast and hot prints. Stringing seems to be less than other PLA’s and gives clean prints. Used a dust filter as recomended and not seen any noticable build up on the filter after a full spool. Cardboard spool looked like it may be an issue but they have been more than up to the job. slightly more bulky then other spools.
