ASA 4.5kg - Black 3D Printer Filament

The perfect filament for the outdoors!

ASA - short for acrylonitrile styrene acrylate - features many of the same properties as our ABS 3D printer filament – including high strength and little/no warp – but with the added benefit of UV resistance - which means that your prints will be unaffected by weather - especially hot sun - and the outside environment in general. As always, we strive for perfection, and the excellent interlayer adhesion ensures great looking, high performance parts. Overall, ASA is the perfect engineering filament for those prints that need to withstand external environments.

Recommended printing temperature: 230-260°C

Recommended heated bed temperature: 80-100 ̊C

Storage: Cool and dry conditions, ideally ~20°C.

We’ve been using Filamentive for over a year now, as a product that has helped grow our brand, Defender3D, into a worldwide name.
The quality of the ASA is perfect, and prints well on various machines such as the Ultimaker S5, 2+ and Raise3D E2.

We now order in bulk, and keep a good stock. The material has a very consistent Colour, dimension and print result. ASA was of particular interest to us, as our products are often used by our customers in hot and humid countries, as well as arctic conditions too.
Being a UK based company, we wanted to support UK suppliers, and we also gain from the benefits of the Filamentive Eco Credentials too!

A very happy customer, and we will continue to use Filamentive as much as the demand for our products continues.

We use FIlamentive ASA for production parts on our print farm, and the results have been excellent. We have no warping even on large parts and prints are exremely reliable. Our parts are used on products with a requirement for high impact resistance and use in all weather, we’ve been really impressed with the strength and performance of Filamentive ASA.
