3D printer filament brand, Filamentive, becomes the first UK provider to offer a dedicated discount for students, lecturers and academic staff.
With a focus on reducing the environmental impact of 3D printing, UK filament provider, Filamentive, has announced the launch of a dedicated 20% discount for higher education students, lecturers and academic staff members.
Please note: due to a technical issue with PayPal, the discount only applies when paying via Stripe (credit or debit card).
Gen Z Is emerging as the sustainability generation and with today’s students increasingly making environmentally-conscious purchase decisions, this new scheme reduces the financial barrier inhibiting ethical consumerism – the data confirms this, with 83% of students they are more likely to buy from a brand offering a student discount.
“Whilst primarily a B2B business, Filamentive is constantly engaged with the Educator sector – whether that’s supplying a 3D printing facility within or University or engaging with student groups and 3D printing societies. Students are increasingly telling us they want to switch to a more sustainable filament for their 3D printing endeavours, but they cannot afford to do so – with our student discount scheme, we are overcoming that barrier to purchase”
Ravi Toor, Managing Director, Filamentive
Filamentive’s new 20% discount is available to any UK student, lecturer or academic staff member with a .ac.uk TLD email address.
Please note: due to a technical issue with PayPal, the discount only applies when paying via Stripe (credit or debit card).
Interested customers simply need to use their institution email address when purchasing at filamentive.com and the 20% discount will be automatically applied on the sub-total. Please note, this discount is incompatible with the existing 30% trade discount / other promotional codes.
