PLA Cosmic is Filamentive’s take on Glitter PLA – a stunning, sparkle-filled filament created for those prints where visual impact matters. By blending premium PLA with non-toxic metallic flakes, this PLA Glitter filament offers an eye-catching shimmer while also delivering smooth, high-quality prints.
Unlike some aesthetic filaments, PLA Cosmic is non-abrasive, meaning there’s no need for a hardened nozzle. It prints just like standard PLA – with low warp, good adhesion, and minimal effort. The glittery surface also helps hide layer lines, giving your models a more polished, refined appearance.
While not made from recycled plastic, PLA Cosmic is supplied on a 100% recyclable cardboard spool, supporting more environmentally conscious 3D printing.

Circularity & End-of-Life
Biodegradability: Although the PLA base is technically biodegradable under industrial composting conditions, the glitter additive prevents compostability and may contribute to microplastic pollution.
Recycling: Accepted in Filamentive’s PLA recycling scheme. Not suitable for kerbside recycling but may be mechanically recycled in-situ if remanufacturing own filament via extrusion equipment.
Disposal/reuse guidance. Reuse is encouraged where possible. At end-of-life, parts should be disposed of through general waste channels or use Filamentive’s recycling scheme.
