Based in Sheffield, UK, 3D Folkes offer a high quality, 3D printing service – focussing on product development, prototyping or any other creative needs. As a 3D Hubs partner and a Made In Sheffield license holder, 3D Folkes have developed an excellent reputation – even being featured in national press.
After a few thousand prints, 3D Folkes realised that a negative by-product of their growing 3D printing activities is plastic waste. To combat the negative factors associated with this, the business has developed a partnership with fellow Yorkshire-based business, Filamentive.
Filamentive is a UK brand of 3D printer filament made sustainably with up to 90% recycled content. We also aspire to launch to a 3D printing waste management service in the coming months to recycle failed prints and waste 3D printed models.
