Firstly, we have faced ongoing raw material supply chain challenges for ABS, which has made consistent production more difficult. At the same time, there has been a general decline in demand for ABS filament across the 3D printing market. This shift is aligned with evolving industry preferences, as users seek materials that offer superior performance and sustainability.
In response to these changes, we have seen increased demand for ASA filament, a material that offers improved UV resistance, weatherability, and mechanical properties. As a result, we will now be prioritising ASA production to meet this growing need and ensure we continue to offer innovative and reliable solutions for our valued 3D printing customers.
For those who have been using ABS we want to make the transition as smooth as possible. We are offering a free ASA sample (at our cost) to encourage you to experience the benefits of switching to ASA. While we are discontinuing ABS, we do have very limited stock remaining, at the time of writing, which will not be replenished once exhausted:
