PLA Matte - Off-White 3D Printer Filament
As the name suggests, this is the perfect filament for those desiring a matte finish. The printed surface diffuses light to give it a matte look and reduce visibility of layer lines. Not to mention the added texture finish!
Tips
Recommended printing temperature (°C): 205 ± 10
Recommended heated bed temperature: Can be printed without, but if you have one, we recommend 50-60°C

I’ve used this to print a few different items now including prototyping, mechanical applications and some for aesthetics and the all have come out with a really nice finish that seems to hide layer lines well.
It is very easy to print, no jams or failures so far just using standard PLA settings. It does seem to be a little more brittle than regular PLA which might be a consideration for certain applications, though in most cases this can be mitigated by adjusting slicing settings. I really like the cardboard spool, it is very strong but would benefit from a few additional holes to feed the end of the filament through when not in use. Will definitely buy again!

This was perfect for the project I had planned. A relief map.
Matte finishes are always nice but I’d had difficulties with layer adhesion with another brand of matte filament, but no such problems with this.
I’ll be trying the greys next.
This is ever-so-slightly on the grey side. It looks white in isolation, but when you put it on a white wall, it’s noticeable.
I didn’t change my profile from other filamentive filament and it just worked.

Love the look and feel of Pla matte. I’ve used it for statue busts such as these heads of Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius.
In my village their used to be a Roman Fort called Petuaria. They found a plaque dedicating the construction of a theatre to Antoninus Pius and we’ve been digging trying to find the theatre. Look up ‘Petuaria Revisited’ for more info.

I’m using the matte pla for printing 150 parts for primary school projects. Parts will be painted/glued etc, the matte does
seem particularly good for this use.
