PLA 3D Printer Filament - Gold
Recycled origin. Unrivalled quality.
PLA; the staple of desktop 3D printing. Short for polylactic acid, PLA is a bioplastic derived from plant-based sources, meaning it is more environmentally friendly compared to ABS, for example. However, PLA production is depleting natural resources faster that they can be replenished. To address this issue, we have pioneered rPLA 3D printer filament, still boasting the same great PLA features such as; low warping, limited smell and premium print quality – but with the added benefit of being produced from factory waste streams as opposed to virgin pellets. All users of rPLA can feel good about reducing the demand for natural resources and therefore saving the environment, whilst being confident that the print quality will still be one of the best on the market! The go-to filament for all 3D printer owners, perfect consumer products, toys and general prototypes.
Recommended printing temperature: 190-220°C
Recommended heated bed temperature: Can be printed without, but if you have one, we recommend 50-60°C
Storage: Cool and dry conditions, ideally ~20°C
Beautiful colour, easy to print and great price – recycled content is a bonus!

Made the switch to move my printing business inline with my targets for sustainability and reducing plastic waste. I initially didn’t get on with this filament was about to contact customer services BUT THEN my bowden coupler failed and it looked like it had been on its way out for a while.
After fixing the printer and dialing in the settings again I can say this prints fantastically!! has great physically properties when printed and is printing very reliably.
My only criticism would be the filament is a little on the translucent side and that becomes visible on the prints as its not a nice opaque shine that you get with say CC3D Silk Gold. But it looks lovely nonetheless and the peace of mind in regards to the environment offsets any issues I may have with the colour
