Wood PLA 3D Printer Filament - Natural
Smells like wood, looks like wood, feels like wood.
Filamentive Wood is a PLA-based composite 3D printer filament. 40% of the formula is made from recycled wood fibres, providing a realistic wood colour, finish and even smell. Some wood filaments can be difficult to print, so our goal was to offer a wood filament that is also easy to work with and we have succeeded – many of our customers praise this filament for “printing like butter”. You can even post-process your wood prints – such as sanding, varnishing and coating – to make eye-catching, decorative wood objects.
Tips
Risk of clogging issues when using 0.4mm nozzles - we would advise using a slightly larger nozzle to help avoid this.
Recommended printing temperature: 200-230°C
Recommended heated bed temperature: Can be printed without, but if you have one, we recommend 40-60°C
Storage: Cool and dry conditions, ideally ~20°C

I had problems with this filament blocking on a 0.4mm nozzle after a few hours of printing. However, with a 0.8mm nozzle at 40mm/s it’s never failed, and still looks fantastic.

First time I’ve bought a premium grade filament. As I’ve had the printer a few weeks and been setting it up. I wanted a good quality wood filament. For the project I bought the printer to do. After makersmuse and a couple of other reviews I decided filamentive wood would be a good choice. Especially as they gave 10% discount codes. BUT none of the discount codes worked. What the hey I’m happy to pay premium for a premium product.
I am however disappointed that the label does not carry recommended temp settings and even more disappointed that its just shrink wrapped not even vacuum packed. Something even the budget suppliers do. And not a resealable bag.. Just not good enough 🙂 hense the 4 star.
I’ll be order. G again and hope these minor glitches are ironed out.
