Prints like PLA, strong like ABS. Perfect hybrid.
Polyethylene terephthalate – or PET for short – is a common plastic. PETg is becoming an emerging filament; combining the printing ease of PLA with the strength and durability of ABS. PET plastic originates from non-renewable sources, and recycling rates remain low, which adds to the already large-scale problem of waste plastic. To combat this, Filamentive rPETg is made from recycled PET waste streams, such as plastic food containers and drinks bottles. Our PET filament also features glycol – hence the ‘g’ – which prevents undesirable crystallisation effects that cause standard PET to become brittle. Overall, rPETg is strong, does not warp, and is odour neutral; a perfect all-rounder, ideal for those strong and durable parts. It is even safe for food contact!

Never have i had so little trouble with any filament than this one. It took me only two tweaks to get the perfect print from this. It measures in on the one I bought at 180 rather than 175. The amazing thing i found though is it measures dead on 180 from one end on the extruder to the printer reel start to finish. Deadly accurate dimensions almost hard to believe.
I didnt however get this colour I actually purchased the orange one. Will 100% buy more again. PETG is definitely the future.
Super fast delivery too

It took me a while to get my printer to print this material right and I am absolutely pleased I persisted. The transparent prints look beautiful. Great product with great eco-credentials. Let’s continue recycling!

Noted some inconsistent extrusion. Found +.02/-.05 variation in filament diameter (measured with calipers in a few random locations). Compensated with extrusion multiplier. Overall, very nice initial print.

First time buying transparent PETg filament here although I have used Filamentive’s black PETg filament in the past and been very happy with it. Not yet tried it through my printer hence the score of 4.
